Lot #122 1795. 3 leaves beneath each wing. B-5; BB-27

Description:

1795. 3 leaves beneath each wing. B-5; BB-27. PCGS graded VG-10. Nice even wear, light grey and silver toning with the fields deeper gray and boldly offsets the devices which are brighter silver. Examination of the surfaces finds no fault from circulation or handling, and the cameo appearance is strong here. A handsome coin to represent this elusive first type of silver dollar. The Three Leaves refers to the trio of leaves below each of the eagle's wings and this is a major variety as noted in the Guide Book of United States Coins (PCGS # 39977) Estimated Value $2,600 - UP
The Highland Estate.
