Lot #160 1801. B-3; BB-213

Description:

1801. B-3; BB-213. PCGS graded VF-20. Light grayish-violet toning. Nice color and clean surfaces for the grade. Boldly clashed on the upper reverse from Liberty's bust which is clearly outlined through OF and below the clouds and star field. Notice too that all the L letters on the reverse are missing their right foot serif, as this must have chipped off. No other silver dollar dies show this curious feature from the broken L punch. Pop 1; 11 finer (PCGS # 40085) Estimated Value $1,900 - UP
The Highland Estate.
