Ladies Elegant 14K Yellow Gold and Mabe Pearl Earrings and Necklace in Superior, Like New Condition. Mabe pearls (originally known as blister pearls) are cultivated in both freshwater and salt water mollusks by attaching a nucleus to the shell wall which cause the mollusk to produce nacre over the nucleus. They take about 2 years to grow, pearl is then removed from wall, interior scooped out and replaced with resin. The result is exceptionally lustrous "half pearls" prized in better jewelry. Offered is a wonderful ensemble of a pair of Mabe pearl earrings and matching necklace in 14K yellow with tiny diamond accents. Earrings 14K gold bezels, are post and clip and measure 1 x 1" and weigh 15.8 grams. Necklace is centered with the same sized Mabe pearl and bezel as the earrings.
