Clark McClelland's NASA Coveralls and Helmets. Two Pairs of Coveralls, One with Patches. Two Helmets One With Gemini Logos, Another Martin Co. Clark McClelland's well worn helmets while at Cape Canaveral/Kennedy Space Center. One helmet from his Gemini period having the Project Gemini logo clearly visible on front of helmet with his name just below and a green clover, proud of his Irish heritage. On the sides are Martin's logo with the letter M with line over it. We are including a photo of the logo on the enormous cover over the Gemini Launch Vehicle. On the back of the helmet is different Gemini logo and likely a design by McClelland himself. McClelland frequently submitted designs for mission logos and while never selected his designs were carefully considered.
The second helmet is while at Martin. Martin, based in Baltimore, was primarily an aerospace concern with a recent focus on missiles, namely its Titan program and ended up merging with American-Marietta. Helmet has Titan II on back of helmet, Martin logo on front. But helmet has been customized with red and silver lightening bolts. Inside helmet is lettered C.C. McClelland Martin Co.
Two pairs of standard issue coveralls. Dark green coverall McClelland has a leather embossed name tag "Clark McClelland" "Trinity" Manufactures tag inside garment has McClelland's name written in laundry proof ink.
Second coveralls are in light blue with sewn patches including large NASA patch on back, one on breast pocket, Space Shuttle patch, Hubble Telescope, Galileo, US Flag and John F. Kennedy Space Center.
