Appealing, Late 19th Century Menorah, 800 Silver with an Explosion of Birds, Vines, Foliage and Blossoms Forming an Arch Over the Oil Cups. A fantasy garden of vines, foliage and birds form an arch in this 19th Century 800 silver menorah from Vienna. The result is a joyous piece of Judaica, a menorah consisting of oil cups that sit snugly behind an ornate "garden fence". There may have been repairs to this piece years past, but they are in keeping with the original work. Menorah is 10 x 11" with all cups present. Menorah sits firmly on the backs of a pair of lions of some weight giving the piece excellent stability.
