The Golden Falcon Watch with an 18K Yellow Gold Medallion Face Bearing the Authentic Design of Egypt's 100 Pound Coin. The Franklin Mint issued this collectors watch in 1988, a limited edition of only 2500. The face of the watch is minted in 18K yellow gold and is the same design that appears on Egypt's 100 pound gold coin. The case itself is also marked 18K yellow gold. The design is inspired by one of the breastplates bearing the image of a winged bird found in King Tutankhamun's tomb. Watch is mint, never worn, new battery installed and keeping perfect time. Original papers and presentation case are included and also in mint condition. Total gross weight including the alligator strap is 31.9 grams. The original lizard strap is in the presentation box but the original owner substituted with an alligator strap by Hermes. The actual gram weight of the 18K gold case and watch face were impossible to determine. 34mm 8" band. Estimated Value $700 - 1,200
