Description

Description:

Men's or Ladies Cuff, Slightly Smaller Version of a Medieval Mythical Amphisbaena, Two-Headed, Snake Bracelet/Cuff in Silver. Extremely appealing cuff depicting a two-headed snake, a design that can be dated back to the Romans, 1st-2nd Century AD. This Byzantine cuff captures beautifully the mythical Amphisbaena, or two headed beast. This is a smaller version than the other available in this auction. Overall thinner, and not perfectly round. But again, the deeply engraved (or pressed) heads on each end boast fine detail with the balance of the cuff smooth. Cuff will fit easily a 3 x 3" wrist or upper arm. 25.94 grams and in fine condition. Estimated Value $300 - 400
