There is no mistaking his style, his work often blends traditional Balinese religious/mythological themes with modern scenes of daily life. He is considered an innovator in Batuan painting, particularly in the 1970s, when the style became more detailed, dynamic, and colorful. He is known for popularizing the depiction of tourists and daily life in his works, alongside traditional, intricate designs.
