Pinafore, The Pirates of Penzance and The Mikado.
Arthur Sullivan autographed letter signed to a Ms. Keck asking for her forgiveness for not responding sooner to a kind note from her to meet up "but you know how difficult it is for a professional man to find time to write letters. And I have no wife" (Subtle. Sullivan had quite the wandering eye) "I suppose the performance of my oratorio is on Saturday (but) I should like to return home as I have much to do. I am moreover in the agony of changing my house. I am regretfully Arthur S. Sullivan" 7 x 4.5" extremely fine.
Sir William Gilbert autograph letter signed on Grim's Dyke, Harrow Weald stationery, a major estate where Gilbert lived for years which is now an upscale hotel. Letter is dated Oct. 11 1893 Gilbert apologizes for mislaying a letter therefore not having the address to respond that there are no longer copies available of a certain magazine. Very fine condition and bold signature 7 x 4.5" double sided. Near to mint condition.
