Estimate: $500 - $800

Description

Description:

Louis XVIII: Certificate of Appointment as Chevalier in the Legion of Honour, as King of France on Vellum (1755-1824) Partially printed document on vellum, an appointment to an individual (Gouber) as a Chevalier in the Legion of Honour (Knight of the Royal Order of the Legion of Honor.) Louis's signature is easily recognizable only because it is so basic, no flair whatsoever. Clearly visible in lower right of image. There is a stain on verso that does bleed a bit on the obverse, otherwise this was extremely well archived. 14.25 x 17.25" with Louis very legible and dated 1804. Estimated Value $500 - 800
