Smith) as Secretary of State and dated Jan. 4th, 1810. James Madison has signed in his usual modest signature with Smith signing just below. Embossed seal is completely intact in lower left corner. Suffer the Brig George Washington of New York, H. Hill master or commander of the burthen of 224 tons or thereabouts mounted with two guns, navigated with ten men.
