Stunning Russian Imperial Kiddush Cup of Exceptional Quality. 084 Silver (Also Hallmarked 875) with Maker's Mark BC, Dated 1883. Magnificent Imperial Russian Kiddush cup of remarkable artistry. One half of the cup is incredibly dense with complex foliate designs surrounding a round cartouche. The opposing side is a breathtaking, almost panoramic engraving of Moscow executed in sumptuous detail against a perfectly smooth highly polished background. All of the engraving is flawlessly enhance with niello (a black mixture, usually of sulphur, copper, silver, and lead) inlay. 3 x 2.25, cup is in museum quality condition and easily in the top 5 single Kiddush cups in the auction. 3.5 ozt having far more heft than most.
