I.M. Fain Sterling Silver and Turquoise Kiddush Cup with Incredible Hand Tooling accented with Persian Turquoise, 1950s. I. M. Fain was a well-known Israeli silversmith active around the 1950s and was noted for his exquisite sterling silver work on Jewish religious items like prayer books Etrog boxes and Kiddush cups. His work was characterized by delicate, hand-made filigree, a technique borrowing from traditions of Yemenite silversmiths. The Kiddush cup offered is a perfect example with intricate designs and tooling throughout accented with 20 turquoise cabochons. Goblet is 7.5 x 3.5" and in excellent condition. We note only a very tiny contusion at lip otherwise a fantastic piece. 6.7 ozt. Estimated Value $700 - 900
