Silver Wine Bottle, Montreal, 1965, Sterling Silver. A ceremonial silver wine bottle produced in Montreal and stamped "ESCO STERLING" within an oval on the base. Engraved in Hebrew and presented as a gift from a yeshiva student to a rabbi, the bottle reflects the tradition of rabbinic presentation pieces within Jewish scholarly culture.
The form features a tall tapering neck rising from a bulbous body, decorated with fine repousse details of grapevine motifs symbolic of abundance and ritual wine. Hebrew inscriptions are finely engraved around the body, recording the dedication and presentation details. The surface retains a bright finish with light surface wear and fine scratches from handling, along with two small dents, consistent with age and use.
