Inscribed Wartime Menorah Presented to Jewish U.S. Service Members, 1943 + Sterling Silver Kiddush Cup WWII Memorial to Fallen Soldier. A silver plated metal Hanukkah menorah presented to Jewish service members serving in the United States military during World War II. It features a Star of David finial and curved candle arms rising from a stepped base. Wear and surface loss to the finish are consistent with age and use.
The central shaft bears a period dedication plaque engraved:

CHANUKA"The dedication places the object within the wartime home-front tradition of communal and family support for Jewish soldiers abroad. Menorahs of this type were produced or adapted during the war years to permit the observance of Hanukkah under military conditions and were often presented by synagogues, community groups, or family organizations as tangible expressions of faith and encouragement.
