Bezalel Torah Shield (Tas), Jerusalem in Sterling Silver and Sem-Precious Stones. A finely worked Bezalel School Torah shield executed in repoussé silver, depicting the Tablets of the Law surmounted by a crown and flanked by heraldic lions between twisted columns, framed within an architectural arch with a draped curtain motif. The surface is further enriched with applied medallions and colored stone settings, and the lower apron is finished with a fringe of articulated pendants. The shield retains its original hanging chain and shows surface wear and light dents consistent with age and use.
The reverse bears a Bezalel workshop stamp in Hebrew together with "HAND MADE" and a sterling standard mark, consistent with early Bezalel production in Jerusalem.
