Metal Pesach Display Plate, circa 1950. Decorative mid-20th century metal Pesach (Passover) display plate, likely intended as a ceremonial or presentation piece rather than for direct ritual use. The circular form is constructed of polished metal panels joined with a central hinged section, resting on four cast feet. The exterior is embellished with raised Hebrew lettering reading Pesach and Matzah, along with applied floral and foliate decorative elements.
The flat top surface is accented with three sculptural finials in the form of stylized birds, adding a distinctive sculptural quality to the piece. Additional engraved borders with repeating scroll motifs encircle both the lid and body. The interior appears fitted for display rather than food service, consistent with commemorative or decorative Judaica produced in the early years of the State of Israel and the immediate post-war period.
Circa 1950. Displays age-appropriate surface wear, light scratching, and areas of tarnish consistent with use and handling.
