Three Early Hebrew & German–Hebrew Prayer Books, 19th–Early 20th Century. Group of three Jewish religious titles, including:
1.) Beit Tefillah (??? ???? / "House of Prayer"), a small-format Hebrew prayer book in marbled paper wrappers with leather spine; inscribed on the inner cover "Livorne, 1902," suggesting Italian origin. Compact devotional format typical of personal synagogue or travel use.
2.) Hebrew religious booklet printed in Jerusalem, featuring a decorative Hebraic title page border. The worn paper-covered boards appear to utilize repurposed printed material as a wrapper, reflecting economical binding practices in the Holy Land during the late Ottoman period.
3.) Israelitisches Gebetbuch, Hebräisch & Deutsch (Israelite Prayer Book in Hebrew and German), Frankfurt am Main, 1854. Third revised edition. Includes engraved devotional frontispiece illustration; a bilingual siddur intended for German-speaking Jewish communities of the mid-19th century.
All three volumes are in worn but complete condition, displaying heavy age wear consistent with prolonged devotional use, including edge losses, spine wear, stains, softened boards, and fragile paper.
