Two Small Framed Paintings. Group of two small framed works. The first depicting a European street scene with figures, showing a narrow city street lined with tall buildings and several figures in period dress, rendered in muted earth tones with soft atmospheric perspective, faint signature in the bottom left. The second depicting a portrait of an elderly bearded Jewish man in traditional attire, rendered with attention to facial expression and texture. This work bears a partially obscured signature in blue at the lower right. The portrait is housed in an ornate gilt-decorated frame; the street scene in a dark wood frame. Both works retain original or early backing boards, one with a handwritten notation on the reverse reading "V.G. Water Colorist."
