Miniature Torah Ark (Aron Kodesh), Catriel Sugarman, Jerusalem, circa 1970. A finely crafted miniature Torah ark by Jerusalem artist Catriel Sugarman, dating to approximately the 1970s. The cabinet is executed in stained wood with a faceted, elongated hexagonal form, accented by contrasting dark trim and decorative metal fittings, including turned finials at the corners and matching drawer pulls. The upper section features double doors opening to a velvet-lined interior designed to house a miniature Torah scroll, while the lower portion contains two drawers, also lined, suitable for accessories or storage. Within the cabinet is a small wrapped Torah scroll. The exterior shows light handling wear consistent with age, while the interior remains clean and well-preserved.
