18th Century German Pewter Matzah-Making Plate. An exceptionally rare 18th-century German pewter plate depicting the traditional preparation of matzah, finely cast in relief with a detailed narrative scene of bakers at work. The composition shows figures gathered around a worktable rolling and preparing the unleavened dough beneath an architectural interior, rendered with remarkable depth and period realism. The reverse is plain with a small stamp, consistent with early pewter marks of the period. The surface exhibits a dark patina with scattered scratches, minor edge irregularities, and age wear throughout, all consistent with 18th-century use and handling.
