Stereoview or stereoscopic slides brought a sense of 3-D to their collections and often times the photos are exclusive to the company manufacturing them. These cards were shot by some of the best photographers in various states with a clarity and focus capturing life from a century ago.
Collection of 40 cards with a wide variety of themes: Particularly fascinating is a stereoview of German soldiers in NY Harbor from the gun boat Meteor and the card is dedicated to the officer and crew. Another of an Italian navy crew. There are phenomenal city scenes which are almost cinematic. Stunning images of buildings on Broadway, Brooklyn Bridge and East Rivers construction, an image of a fat, short submarine dry docked at Brooklyn Navy Yard, images of Central Park with a single building and nothing around, another with a vendor having a goat pull two children in a carriage. Overall in very fine condition.
