Rare Jurassic Sauropod Foot Claw and Metatarsal. Camarasaurus lentus was a giant Sauropod dinosaur that lived 150 million years ago in the Big Horn Basin of Shell, Wyoming where this large foot claw (ungual) and metatarsal bone were found. These huge plant eating dinosaurs reached lengths of over 50 feet and like most sauropods the front limbs were shorter than the back limbs. The claws of Camarasaurs were relatively short and hooflike in shape except for the larger sharp inside claw of the front foot. This six inch black claw is one of the hooflike shaped claws and is very solid and complete as is the black solid metatarsal bone.
Toe Claw (Unqual) is 6 inches
Metatarsal is 5 ½ inches.
