Gabriel Argy Rousseau Spectacular Pâte De Verre Glass Crystal Pitcher with Stopper and Molded Details Towards Base. Museum Piece. G. Argy Rousseau continues to be very well represented in this collection. Heavy, Art Deco pedestal pitcher in pâte de verre glass (ground glass paste) having a combination of swirls of amber and honey colors. Setting this work apart is the molded overlapping panels around body of pitcher, the base and the handles which embraces the Art Deco movement. Pitcher is 9" tall and measured with the stopper, 11.5". Including handle, pitcher is 5" wide. The pitcher weighs just over 3 pounds, most definitely a substantial work. No chips, cracks or repairs with G. Argy Rousseau deeply etched into the base. A real treasure. "Due to the considerable number of art glass lots, shipping may take 2-4 weeks from the date of payment. We thank you for your patience. We want every piece to arrive safely.
