Daum Nancy Blown and Acid Etched Glass Table Lamp Boasting Remarkable Scenic Artistry and Pagoda Shaped Shade. A treasure for any level of collector, a Daum cameo glass table lamp from Nancy, France and it is spectacular. Starting with the base, which is in dark brown glass has acid etched cut sprigs of grass surrounding the body. The base itself has four 1.5" indentions at points 12, 3, 6 and 9 so the light cord won't topple or make unstable the lamp. The body of the lamp is in a mix of amber and greenish glass with dark brown, acid etched cameo glass in exquisite trees and foliage. There is also Daum Nancy mark "D. N. and the Cross of Lorraine" in raised brown glass on the flared base. The shade is in much lighter a very light honey color with deep acid etched trees, grasses and a lake with more growth in the distance on the opposite side of the banks The branching completely covers the top of the shade and it is extremely well done. Daum Nancy is in raised brown letters atop the grasses that surround the edge of shade. The pagoda shaped glass shade makes this table lamp very special. Works perfectly, re-wired as to not burn down the house, and stands 20" tall with the shade measuring 9 x 9". Great weight with the lamp so quite solid and steady. Bonus, two small bulbs illuminate the light, interior of body and the shade which enhance the beauty of the designs. No chips, cracks or repairs.
