Lot #78 Phenomenal Art Nouveau Centerpiece with Iridescent Fluted Glass Bowl Cradled in Bronze with Wood Base by Wilhelm Kralik

Description:

Phenomenal Art Nouveau Centerpiece with Iridescent Fluted Glass Bowl Cradled in Bronze with Wood Base by Wilhelm Kralik (Loetz). Without question the most arresting and fabulous Art Nouveau piece in Lori Nelson's collection. An organic iridescent bowl (sea urchin?) that is held in place by bronze tendrils with buds and a bronze very likely designed by Henri Berge a close collaborator. The legs rest on three splayed feet affixed to wooden balls. An unbelievable centerpiece which the internet could find nothing like it. From top to bottom it measures 15" with an 8" round base. No chips, cracks or repairs. What a piece! "Due to the considerable number of art glass lots, shipping may take 2-4 weeks from the date of payment. We thank you for your patience. We want every piece to arrive safely. Local pick up encouraged." Estimated Value $700 - 1,200 From the Premiere Collection of Lori Nelson, Film and Television Actress.
