Choice Pair of Legras "Indiana" Vases ca. 1930 with Gilded Acid Etched Poppies and Gilt Gold Enamel. The "Indiana" vase is a celebrated Art Nouveau glass line produced by the French glassmaker Legras & Cie (founded by François Théodore Legras) in Saint-Denis, France, around 1900–1914. These pieces typically feature vibrant acid-etched cameo designs, often highlighted with hand-painted enamel and gilding showcasing poppy or floral motifs against mottled glass backgrounds. Here are two large examples of this line standing 14.5" in fiery orange glass with etched overlays of poppy blooms and foliage, then enameled in gilt gold. The vases each have compressed areas created while glass was still molten near the mouth of the vases adding immeasurably to the appeal. For this line of glass, you could not ask for better matching examples. No chips cracks or repairs. "Due to the considerable number of art glass lots, shipping may take 2-4 weeks from the date of payment. We thank you for your patience. We want every piece to arrive safely. Local pick up encouraged." Estimated Value $800 - 1,500 From the Premiere Collection of Lori Nelson, Film and Television Actress.
