Antique Moorcroft Earthenware: Large Art Pottery Vase with Matching Candlesticks in the Peaches and Grapes Pattern. 1950's or Earlier. W. Moorcroft Limited was a British art pottery manufacturer specializing in richly decorated earthenware based in Burslem in Stoke-on-Trent, England. The company was founded in 1913 and closed in 2025 however immediately Liberty Department Store assumed the company. Early Moorcroft earthenware is prized by collectors especially those having full signatures of William Moorcroft on underside of bases. The spectacular large pot with thick silver plated rim boasts in blue the full Moorcroft name along with Moorcroft and Made in England in small pressed block letters. Note that this pot is photographed on a silver plated stand. It comes off easily as it was affixed only with florist's clay. Honestly, it looks better without it but will be included in shipment.Candlesticks are quite charming and in the same pattern. Bases both have paper tags but also Moorcroft in squiggly blue script with Moorcroft and Made in England in pressed block letters. No chips, cracks or repairs. "Due to the considerable number of art glass lots, shipping may take 2-4 weeks from the date of payment. We thank you for your patience. We want every piece to arrive safely. Local pick up encouraged." Estimated Value $1,000 - 1,500 From the Premiere Collection of Lori Nelson, Film and Television Actress.
