Thomas Webb & Sons: Excellent Collection of their Late 19th Early 20th Century Glass Six (6) Pieces Total: Queen's Burmese and Peach Blow. Thomas Webb & Sons was founded in 1837 by Thomas Webb in Stourbridge, England. The company proved a huge operation in very accomplished glassmaking it was nicknamed "The Crystal King of England" and was known for their exceptionally high quality cameo glass so much so they were part of Tiffany Studios & Co. exhibit at the Paris Exposition of 1889. Besides cameo glass the company developed their Queen's Burmese glass collection in the 1880's and the four in this collection are fine examples of that work with no chips, cracks or repairs. The peach blow vases are just about mint, no chips cracks or repairs 1.) The most important is the candlestick vase which is in three tiers and beautifully hand painted, 10" tall. A premium piece2.)
