Lot #196 Tiffany Favrile Iridescent Blue Hearts and Vines

Description:

Tiffany Favrile Iridescent Blue Hearts and Vines. Tiffany glass needs no introduction as it has secured it's mark in American History Arts & Crafts. His line of glass collectively referred to as Favrile and he began the line in 1892 to great success in spite of being very expensive for the time. Offered is an outstanding example of the studio's work. Iridescent glass is an over overlay to the royal blue glass interior that does come through at the lower half of the vase. No chips or cracks. With the consignor leaving notes in virtually each vase, she references that her vase is now perfect. We wonder if she meant it had a minor restoration at the lip. We can't see it but wanted to make mention. Pontile base with the numbers 896 L. C. Tiffany Favrile on base. Beautiful piece. "Due to the considerable number of art glass lots, shipping may take 2-4 weeks from the date of payment. We thank you for your patience. We want every piece to arrive safely. Local pick up encouraged." Estimated Value $900 - 1,200 From the Premiere Collection of Lori Nelson, Film and Television Actress.
