Twelve Exceptionally Rare Stereoscopic Cards of Jerusalem, the Warsaw Ghetto, Russia Late 1800s-Early 1900s. Most with Notes on the Verso. Specialized but historic stereoscopic cards which are collected by historians, libraries and photographers as they capture a bygone time with photos that frequently prove remarkable rarely available on the internet. Of note are packed markets of Jews and Tartars in St. Petersburg, Russia, the huge market in the Jewish Quarters of Warsaw, Poland, and a rare color card of a street market in Jerusalem, Palestine (the description on the verso is a bit toxic.) Also included are four (4) cards (three from 1896) of Jewish people at the Wailing Wall, the apparel worn by the women of particular interest. Finally cards featuring the Plain of Jericho, farming land and wilderness of Judea and an excellent card featuring the Palace of Nebuchadnezzer (ruins of Babylon) with a fine explanation of its history on verso.
