1776 Machin's Mills Halfpenny Vlack 6-76A Rarity-4 F15. Slightly sharper but the surfaces are covered with extremely faint roughness, mostly in the protected areas. No verdigris. The only marks are a faint, very old diagonal scratch over the ear and a tiny rim nick at EO in GEORGIVS. Slightly glossy dark olive brown with lighter chocolate brown toning on the highpoints. The date and legends are complete and clear. A very nice example of this popular early copper struck exclusively in this country. Weight 107.8 grains.
Estimated Value $750-UP.
