A lovely example. Extremely Fine. In 10 BC, when this coin was struck, Augustus traveled to Lugdunum (modern Lyon, France) and dedicated a magnificent altar. The future emperor Claudius was born at Lyon in the same year and on the very same day as the altar was dedicated — 1 August 10 BC.
