One is stamped "Oberkommando der Wehrmacht geprüft" (examined by the Supreme Command of the Armed Forces) and "Ostarbeiterlager" signifying a camp for "Eastern workers," who were Soviet civil workers primarily from Ukraine; their number has been estimated at between 3 million and 5.5 million.
