Partly-printed Document Signed ("Thos Heyward, Jun.") as Governor, one page, 8 x 13 in., Charleston, Aug. 14, 1787. A summons for Robert Shand to appear before justices of the Court of Common Pleas in a case concerning trespassing. Verso has notations in various hands regarding the case. Heyward's large signature is under the paper and wax seal at upper left. Light toning, else fine. Heyward is scarce.
