1794 C-6a R5+ Small Edge Letters VG10. A couple points sharper but covered with extremely fine granularity under a rather glossy dark steel and olive patina. There is no verdigris and the only marks are a couple tiny ticks on the bust tip, a small rim nick left of the cap, and another over the I in AMERICA. The date is strong, the legends are complete, and the edge lettering is bold. Overall a decent example of this rare variety. Near the lower end of the condition census. The reverse is rotated 20 degrees CW. Weight 97.8 grains.
Estimated Value $3,000-UP.
