1798 S-167 R1 Style II Hair, Large 8 F12. Several points sharper but there is extremely fine roughness hidden under the glossy dark olive and lighter chocolate brown patina. The devices are several shades lighter than the fields, and the two-tone contrast accents the details and adds to the eye appeal. No notable marks or verdigris. LDS, Breen state VI, with clear die cracks on both sides and a cud break connecting the first T in STATES to the rim above. Struck slightly off center to K-9.
