1803 S-247 R3 F15. Sharpness EF45 but there are a dozen small, shallow pits on the obverse plus a couple larger ones on the reverse, and fine corrosion covers the lower right part of the reverse. The obverse fields are covered with fine hairline scratches that have been mostly burnished away, all in an attempt to minimize the effects of the pitting. Glossy chocolate and steel brown. The details remain quite sharp and the eye appeal is not as bad as the description might imply. Nonetheless, this piece is far from perfect. EDS, Breen state I. The "Mumps" lump at the throat is clear.
