1855 N-9 R1 Knob-on-Ear MS63. Choice frosty light steel brown and tan with faded mint red covering 15% of the planchet. Both sides are satiny. A beautiful example, flawless except for a dull, shallow nick on the rim over the C in AMERICA. M-LDS, die state f early. The "Knob" atop the ear is bold and the branch under the Y is fully outlined and slightly raised. A really nice example of this very popular "Redbook" variety. And the later die state is a big plus (after all, size matters).
Estimated Value $600-UP.
