1787 Massachusetts Cent Ryder 4-C Rarity-4 VF35. Choice glossy chocolate brown with frosty lighter brown toning in protected areas. The surfaces are smooth and offer excellent eye appeal, but a strong glass reveals microscopic traces of extremely fine roughness in the field around the Indian's bow. The only marks are a very light rim bruise over the L in WEALTH and a tiny rim nick well right of the date. Otherwise this piece would certainly justify a slightly higher grade. Nicely centered on a high-quality planchet. Weight 149.3 grains.
Estimated Value $600-UP.
