1797 S-143 R5 Stemless Wreath VG8. Misaligned Reverse. Sharpness F12 with microscopic granularity covering the fields and protected areas. No verdigris and the only marks are a small planchet chip or pit over the left edge of the O in ONE and a collection of microscopic pits just right of the F in OF. Slightly glossy medium chocolate brown fading to olive in protected areas. Possibly recolored but the toning is attractive. MDS. The reverse is misaligned to K-7. A tough variety that's very difficult to find in higher grades, and this one comes with a nice provenance.
Estimated Value $750-UP.
