1822 N-4 R2 MS62. Lustrous light steel brown with medium brown toning on the lower part of the reverse and attractive bluish steel overtones in protected areas, especially on the obverse. Excellent eye appeal with only a few tiny marks, including a few tiny ticks at the eye and a small wisp of darker toning hidden in the hair cords over the T in LIBERTY. Sharply struck EDS with doubling on much of the reverse from die bounce. Graded MS61 by Del Bland. Noyes says MS63 and tied for CC#4 in his census, photo #21529. Comes with an impressive provenance.
Removed from an old green label PCGS slab graded MS64BN (PCGS label included).
Estimated Value $1,500-UP.
