1826 N-5 R2 AU58. Choice, highly lustrous medium brown with slightly darker steel brown toning on the highpoints. Just the faintest touch of rub on the highest points from mint state. A beautiful cent. The only marks are a small spot of darker toning (not carbon) nestled between the upper right points of star 3 and a shallow, barely visible contact mark close over the N in CENT. LDS with strong rim cud breaks at star 4, from star 5 to star 7, and between star 7 and star 8. Called AU55 Choice in the Noyes census, his photo #62014.
Estimated Value $500-UP.
