Extremities worn, in a scuffed and chipped dust jacket. Toned throughout. A tight copy. Recipient wrote in large letters at the top of the title page: "Helen S. Simon / White House / Oronoco." The book, co-authored by JFK's speechwriter Ted Sorensen, won the Pulitzer Prize for Biography in 1957.
