1794 C-1b R6 Small Edge Letters G5. Glossy olive brown and chocolate. The planchet is nearly smooth showing just the lightest roughness in protected areas plus a shallow pit at the throat. No verdigris. The only significant contact marks are several small, light rim bruises on both sides. The 17 in the date is extremely faint while the 94 is weak but easily readable. The legends are complete except for weakness on HALF CENT. EDS, Manley state 1.0, prior to any die clashmarks. The small edge letters are clear except for the "A" before "DOLLAR" because it was weakened by a rim bruise. The only 1794 "B-girl" in the Carvin Goodridge collection. Weight 101.0 grains.
Estimated Value $1,000-UP.
