1794 C-4a R3 Small Edge Letters G6. Several points sharper but there are three dull but obvious narrow scrapes down the portrait plus numerous less-significant nicks scattered over both sides. No roughness or verdigris. The toning is an attractive glossy steel and chocolate brown, and the eye appeal is not as bad as the marks might imply. The date is bold and the legends are clear. E-MDS, Manley state 2.0. Die clashmarks show off the neck but there is no hint of swelling at the lowest curl. Weight 100.9 grains.
Estimated Value $350-UP.
