1794 C-6a R5+ F12. Sharpness VF30 but the planchet is covered with fine roughness and there are a dozen or more small pits scattered over the obverse, mostly in the field under the cap. A few of these pits contain traces of greenish verdigris. The portrait shows numerous old, light scratches blended into the attractive and rather glossy medium chocolate brown patina. The reverse is considerably nicer and offers excellent eye appeal. Certainly not perfect but still one of the finest known examples of this very tough variety. Weight 105.0 grains.
Estimated Value $3,000-UP.
