1794 C-7 R5+ F15. Ten points sharper but there are several light rim bruises visible on both sides, the notable ones left of the lowest curl and at S-O on the reverse. The rim over ERI in AMERICA has been lightly smoothed to minimize one of the bruises. The surfaces are perfectly smooth and the only marks inside the dentils are a small planchet chip (as struck) left of the bottom of the cap and a thin nick at the truncation above the 1 in the date. Recolored glossy light chocolate brown with faint hints of lighter reddish brown in protected areas. LDS. The die crack through E in UNITED is strong. Decent eye appeal in spite of the obvious defects, especially for such a tough die variety. Weight 111.2 grains.
Estimated Value $10,000-UP.
