1795 C-5b R4 Thick Planchet G5. Sharpness VF20 but granular with numerous pits scattered over the obverse. No verdigris or contact marks. It appears this piece experienced very little actual wear, but the roughness weakens most of the details. Recolored light to medium brown but the pits are dark olive. Not an especially attractive example, but lots of detail for the net grade. Struck on a cut-down large cent planchet weighing 111.0 grains.
