1811 C-1 R4 Fair-2. 2-Star Cud. Slightly glossy chocolate and steel. The surfaces are covered with very fine roughness, but essentially this piece is just very heavily worn. No verdigris. The notable marks are a nick on the tip of the nose and a scratch through star 11. The date is weak but easily readable but most of the legend outside the wreath is gone. M-LDS, Manley state 4.0, with a strong 2-star cud break that connects stars 1 & 2 to the rim. In addition, the area above the cud at stars 3 & 4 is slightly sunken as a retained cud. An extremely rare die state.
